Dr. Scott Cowan is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Cowan currently practices at New England Orthopedic Surgeons (NEOS), and is a consulting orthopedic surgeon at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Springfield and Baystate Medical Center. Dr. Cowan received his undergraduate degree in biology from Brown University, a master’s degree in anatomy from the University of Maryland and earned his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Cowan then completed an internship in general surgery from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and was a resident and chief resident in orthopedic surgery at Boston University. He was also a spine surgery fellow at New England Baptist Hospital. Dr. Cowan is highly regarded and experienced in managing spinal injuries and diseases with proven treatments.
