Dr. Adisa Kuršumović is a neurosurgeon, interventional neuroradiologist, and radiologist in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, and has over the years developed significant clinical experience in the implantation of Barricaid Annular Closure. Dr. Kuršumović was an investigator in the 554-patient, Level I Superiority Randomized Controlled Trial, which was the main clinical data supporting FDA approval of the Barricaid device in 2019. She is also co-founder of a global, clinical registry initiative that collects “real-world” data on Barricaid. Dr. Kuršumović has lectured around the world on Barricaid as an invited speaker at scientific meetings, and has also trained surgeons in Europe, Asia and the US on Barricaid technique.
